Walt Disney studio released its new 3D animated film named as Gnomeo and Juliet. It is a twist of Romeo and Juliet based on a drama of Shakespeare. It made a business of $14.2 million in just three weeks of its release

By this it was leading the box office on Oscar Sunday. Although many of the other movies were also there for example “Hall Pass”, “Drive Angry” and “Unknown” but the week was of Gnomeo and Juliet because it was leading the box office due to its tremendous business. Chuck Viane who is the head of distribution at Walt Disney studio says that the force behind this big business of the film is good Word-of-Mouth due to its really good marketing. The movie may have done a good business but on the whole it was a down weekend for the box office as compared to the corresponding last year weekend. The distribution head of Warner bros. say that this weekend was not really good because we were not having a full Sunday. Besides all these things the success of Gnomeo and Juliet was really good for the movie going business.
