Jonathan McGowan: roadkill eater. It’s not a title most people would want to bear proudly, but Jonathan McGowan has decided to make public his eating habits. He has gone on speaking tours at schools and given the media a look at his roadkill eating methods. Jonathan McGowan has dubbed his roadkill eating diet an attempt at being a “conservationist”, as well as saving money. The roadkill is already dead regardless of himself, so he is not contributing to the pains of animals slaughtered to produce typical store bought meats. McGowan finds the roadkill himself so it’s free for him to eat. With meats being often the most expensive part of people’s diets, that saves Jonathan McGowan a considerable sum.
