The great and talented actor Michael Gough died on March 17 at the age of 94. This longest lived actor had been facing health problems for some days. At such an old age he couldn’t fight with the health complications and lost his life. Michael was born on 23rd November, 1916 in Kuala Lumpur. He began his career in 1940 and in 1948 he made his appearance in his first film ‘Blanche Fury’.
He also made a prominent place in television and stage. He worked in more than 150 films. He also worked in the popular series ‘Doctor Who’. He gained international recognition from his roles in Hammer horror films. His role in ‘Batman’ brought him to the peak of popularity at international level. His work in “Sleepy Hollow’ was superb. His acting was very much appreciated among the audience and critics. In the recent remake of ‘Alice in Wonderland’ his voice has been used. This legend actor has won several awards including Tony award for best actor and BAFTA TV award. He also won award for an outstanding featured actor in 1979.
