The two hour finale of X Factor was on last night. If you had a DVR you could easily skip through and cut that time to an hour.

There were shots of home crowds cheering via satellite for their favorite crew. There were guest stars like Justin Bieber, Stevie Wonder, 50 Cent, Leona Lewis, Ne-Yo, Pitbull, and the top twelve acts from the past season.

Chris Rene was eliminated first, leaving Josh Krajcik and Melanie Amaro to battle it out for the top spot which includes a $5 million recording contract, an outstanding Pepsi commercial all their own, and bragging rights as the first U.S. X Factor contestant.

To cut through all the suspense it was Melanie Amaro who won it all and is this year’s X Factor!

The next X Factor season will pick back up in November of next year.
